5th annual holiday toy pop-up shopA women born and raised in Harrisburg is now a success in the beauty industry and the CEO and founder of her own nonprofit. But, she still comes back every year to help her community. Amanda Manigault started braiding hair on her front porch at 11 years old. "My father put my first beauty salon in the basement when I was just about 13 years old," said Manigault.

5th ANNUAL HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA POP-UP SHOPThe fifth annual Holiday Toy Extravaganza Pop Up Shop took place in Harrisburg Friday afternoon.
It was hosted by the National Alliance of Black Girl Beauty Foundation. AdvertisementBetween one and three o-clock families were invited to come out to the 'House of Faith and Deliverance.' There were live speakers, raffles, and of course, holiday activities like toy giveaways and photos with Santa. "I know what it was like, I was a single mom at the age of 16. Even though I was in the beauty industry I also had those same struggles that some of these parents have. Non-profit gives out toys to single mothers and their kids.A non-profit in Harrisburg held a toy drive Saturday on Sixth Street for kids in need of toys this holiday season.
Over 200 kids stopped by on Saturday to pick up their toys. Amanda Manigault organizes the event through her ministries non-profit. She lived in Harrisburg growing up and views the drive as a way to impact the community in positive ways, even after her departure. See More... December 2019 CBS News
